Description
Ok, the question always is, ” Where is this and is it the real color?”. The first answer is that it is somewhere along Highway 1, south of Big Sur I think. The answer to the next question is, yes, it is the real color.
On this particular day, driving down H-1in a beat-up old Pontiac Catalina (which is a clue for another photo), I needed to relieve myself. When I finally decided to pull over there was a little river under the road. Walking down the ravine (no trail here), this waterfall is what I saw. When I finally got down to it to set up my camera it was already getting dark. This was a very long exposure!
All of my large format photography is captured with a 4 x 5 view camera, (one of those cameras that need a black cloth over the back; Ansel Adams Style). Each image is meticulously composed under the black-cloth with just me, the ground glass, and my lens to achieve a relationship with my subject. Each picture is taken one sheet of film at a time, Old School, resulting in very sharp images.
Once the film is developed, it is then drum-scanned to get the highest resolution print possible. Printed on Hahnemuhle Photo Rag Baryta.
These Fine Art Photographic images are printed to order, please allow 2-3 weeks for delivery. If you would like your print framed, please call to sent up a time for a virtual framing session.
