In this image, the lace is actually white. How much fun can we have with light! No photoshopping on the lace, just shadows of lost light.
All of my large format photography is captured with a 4 x 5 view camera, (one of those cameras that need a black cloth over the back; Ansel Adams Style). Each image is meticulously composed under the black-cloth with just me, the ground glass, and my lens to achieve a relationship with my subject. Each picture is taken one sheet of film at a time, Old School, resulting in very sharp images.
Once the film is developed, it is then drum-scanned to get the highest resolution print possible. Printed on Hahnemuhle Photo Rag Baryta.
